"if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." ~2 Chronicles 7:14
1. Called by His name - how often do we allow ourselves to be called children of God? how often do we display the family we belong to? How often do we proudly say our Father's name in public?
2. Humbleness - this word shouldn't come with a negative connotation. Nothing to do with weakness, but rather, meekness. Have our pride gotten in our ability to become humble?
3. PRAY - how often do we pray??? do we talk to Him daily? how will our relationship with Him grow without conversation?
4. Seek His Face - He already knows our faults, and our secret sins. what more are we trying to hide from Him? We need to be upfront with Him, seek His face, and like the prodigal son, He will always welcome us with outstretched hands.
5. Turn from wicked ways - this is a hard one. we are so deeply rooted with sin, how are we to turn from sin?? We need to discern our actions and desires closely. If He is truly the center and core of our beliefs, will we still turn to sin??
Yeah, I know, all these are easier said than done. Temptation and worldly desires tie us down, it's a rather viscious cycle sometimes... you know what's right for you, what's good for you, but yet you always end up doing what's bad for you... because at that given time and moment, you just want to feel good, you just want to please yourself. you think of yourself, and only yourself, nothing in the world matters more to you than pleasing your own desires. Humans are sooooo selfish like that... sigh... I think I definitely need to work on all these points, especially numero tres... to become a Prayer Warrior.
