ALOHA OE!!!

hmmm... it's 12:30am... i'm still up... i took a long long long nap after i got back this afternoon... and now i'm screwed. i can't sleep!!! ahhhhh... so i already posted up my pics... check out my xanga site for the link... and now... i guess i can blog my after thoughts? i had sooooo much fun... the island is PARADISE. i just want to stay there forever and never come back... i come back to the crappy rainy weather in new york... and the rain makes it sooo stinky here. i miss the island breeze... the island sun... i miss maui!!!

let's see... i did lotsa stuff...

1) went para-sailing with ruth, not scary at all!! i have a vid if anyone wants to see it)
2) sunrise at Haleakala, and biked down the crater (they don't like it when you call it the volcano because it ain't active, so it's crater) -- 38 miles in 2 hrs!
3) snorkeling at Molokini (the underwater volcano), also went on Bluewater Rafting, what a ride!!
4) snorkeling at some bay for 2hrs on the last day there (i still can't believe i swam into the ocean and around the bays by myself... and now i'm fatigued),
oh and we also swam with turtles!!! it was like a foot away, just staring at me... hehee, so cute!!!
5) luau at Old Lahaina Luau (supposedly the best luau, although the food ain't that great... the coconut cake was the best... and also the free cocktails)
6) Hana Tour (the rainforest of Maui) --- it was soooooo cool. saw so many waterfalls and so many rainbows
7) Maui Prince resort --- this is where leslie's bro got married... it's sooooo pretty in there.... ruth and sophia got free drinks from this loser that sat behind them... he was in Maui ALL alone.
8) tasted wine at the winery... bought lotsa kukui nut products. this kukui nut oil is AMAZING... my ass was burned sooo badly, it looked like a 1st degree burn... but healed the next day after i layered on the magic aloe, magic oil, and magic lotion.
9) saw a million waterfalls in Hana, and "swam" in the 7 sacred pools, which are actually 21 pools, and not at all sacred.
10) had a Lava Float almost everyday -- also tried the Mai Tai, Chi Chi, Pina Colada
11) had shaved ice with ice cream almost everyday as well... it's soooo good... JeYi's flavor mix: rootbeer and kona nut... yum!

did you know that...
- Maui has the only sugar plantation left in the state of Hawaii since it's not competitive enough with Thailand or Phillipine sugar.
- Baldwin brothers industrialized sugar in Hawaii, the king granted them land to start the sugar plantation
- there are moon-bows, rainbows at night, in Hawaii (we never saw one but our bike-ride van person, Jimbo has seen several)
- Rainbow Eucalyptus and Bamboo Trees grow a foot a day
- the founders of Neutrogena lives in Hana
- Hawaiians call sheeps "cow", and the Hawaiian word for cow is "peepee"
- state flower is the yellow Hibiscus, and not any other hybrid color
- squeezing the ginger flowers will allow the scent of the ginger flower to excrete
- staple food of Hawaiians is Poi, which is mushed Taro and is actually sour tasting... i didn't really like it...
- there are not T's or S's in Hawaiian, and hence, Taro is pronounced Caro.

I'm sure I have a billion more random facts... but that's it for now... I love Maui, I love Hawaii!!!!!!!!!

ALOHA!!!
